Hebden Bridge Picture House is an iconic Grade II listed cinema located in the heart of the town. Built-in 1921, the cinema is a beautiful example of early 20th-century architecture and is one of the few remaining independent cinemas in the UK.

 

The cinema was originally built as a cine-variety theatre, with a stage for live performances, but it has been exclusively used as a cinema since the 1950s.

 

Today, the cinema boasts a 220-seat auditorium, which features a wide range of films, including new releases, independent cinema, and foreign-language films. The cinema also hosts regular events, such as screenings of classic films, live performances, and Q&A sessions with directors and actors.
